Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is one of the 4th Branches of Indian Armed Forces. It was established in 1978 to protect the maritime borders of Indian Coast. It works in close cooperation with Indian Navy, Customs Department and Department of Fisheries. Indian Coast Guard is divided into 5 regions i.e. western region, Eastern Region, North East Region, Andaman and Nicobar Region and North West Region. It operate with 42 Coast Guard Stations, 5 Coast Guard Air Stations and 10 Coast Guard Air Enclaves.

Indian Coast Guard Navik (Ground Duty) 10+2 Entry – 2/2015 Batch

Age Limit: 18 to 22 years (Born between 1st Aug 1993 to 31st July 1997)
Scale           : Rs. 5200-20200 + GP 2000
Academic Eligibility: 10+2 or equivalent with not less than 60% marks aggregate (Maths & Physics)

Selection Procedure: Candidates intending jobs in Indian Coast Guard under this 10+2 entry scheme have to go through Written Test, Physical Fitness Test and Initial Medical Examination.

Written Test: The written test is fully objective type comprising questions on subjects like Mathematics, Physics, Basic Chemistry, English Knowledge, General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning. The written test standard is 12th Class.

Indian Coast Guard Navik (GD) 10+2 Entry Scheme – Application Methodology 

One can visit from 31st January to 10th February, 2015 and apply online for ICG Navik (Ground Duty) Jobs. After applying online the candidate has to download 3 copies of system generated application form. All copies of the print out of application duly signed with photograph are to be carried by the applicant to the recruitment centre. Out of the above three copies, one copy enclosed with photocopies of all required documents i.e. class 10th certificate and mark sheet showing date of birth, 12th class certificate along with mark sheet showing subjects, caste certificate wherever required and domicile certificate of their respective state duly attested by the Gazetted Officer shall be carried by the candidate and submitted at the examination centre on the date of examination.
